The NY Disability Benefits Law (DBL), enacted in 1950, requires employers to provide their employees in New York State with short-term disability benefits to replace, in part, wages lost when disabled by an off-the-job injury or illness (on-the-job injury is provided by workers’ comp).

The NYS Restaurant Association Disability Insurance Plan offers you the assurance of dealing with a strong carrier Standard Life Insurance Company, at coverage rates that are extremely affordable (and are the same rates for male and female employees!).
