How to Oppose 50% Increase to Cash Wage for Tipped Employees

The Wage Board has officially proposed increasing the cash wage for tipped employees from $5.00 to $7.50, a 50% increase, effective December 31, 2015. We have the opportunity to object to this proposal by emailing (please copy so we can make sure all emails are received).

The emails will go to the Commissioner of Labor, who has the power to reject or modify the proposed increase.

Please also sign and share our petition against the increase.

With every objection email sent and signature received the chances for a rejection or amendment go up.

Time is running out so please act quickly! The Commissioner will make his final recommendations this Friday, February 20.
