Today, the New York State Restaurant Association will be attending the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOH&MH) hearing on proposed changes to Article 81 of the New York City Health Code. The Department is hoping to clarify specific requirements that are already being enforced during routine inspections.

The hearing will take place on Thursday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the New York City DOH&MH office located at 42-09 28th Street, Room 3-32, Queens, NY, 11101. More details >>

“As the leading restaurant association in New York, we will make sure our government understands the needs of our industry,” said Chris Hickey, Regional Director NYC for the New York State Restaurant Association. “By building strong relationships with government agencies we are able to protect and strengthen our industry.”

Earlier this month, the New York State Restaurant Association created an easy-to-understand overview of the major proposed changes to Article 81 for restaurants in New York City to review.
