Upcoming Event: Sustainability in the Hospitality Industry, 12/2

Join leaders in the hospitality industry on Tuesday, December 2 for a day filled with green knowledge at the Sustainability in the Hospitality Industry Summit. 


Hosted by the Global Center for Hospitality Management at the New York Institute of Technology, the New York State Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, and the Green Hospitality Initiative, this event will take a close look at how organizations in the hospitality industry have addressed and innovated programs to focus on sustainability. The four core areas of sustainability focus scheduled to be discussed include food, operations, work culture, and community.

The day's event will guest speaker presentations, short films, and "green flash" presentations on current trends in sustainability. Key speakers at the event include Bill Telepan, Chef/Owner of Telepan & Telepan Local, Karen Washington, Co Founder at Black Urban Growers and La Familia Verde, Kyle Thomas, Sustainability Manager, Le Pain Quotidien, Hervé Houdré, Regional Director of Operations & General Manager InterContinental New York Barclay, and many more. 

Breakfast, Lunch, and Reception following the event will give plenty of opportunities to network with speakers and industry professionals.
