Seasoned restaurant industry professional, Chris Hickey, joins the New York State Restaurant Association to strengthen presence in New York City.


NEW YORK — The New York State Restaurant Association, the largest trade association in New York and the official voice for over 50,000 restaurants statewide, has hired Christopher Hickey to lead the New York City office as the Regional Director.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Chris Hickey brings a solid background of working in the restaurant industry in both front and back of the house positions, eventually moving on to the management level at STARR Restaurants, Hillstone Restaurant Group, and The Dinex Group that features the restaurants of renowned Chef Daniel Boulud.
“Chris brings an intense passion and deep understanding of the restaurant industry to the New York City team,” said Melissa Fleischut, President and CEO of the NYS Restaurant Association. “He is able to answer almost any question regarding restaurant operations and the regulations restaurateurs have to face on a daily basis.”
“I started working in restaurants at a very young age and owe a great deal to the industry as a whole for the advancement opportunities it has provided in my career,” said Chris Hickey, NYC Regional Director of the NYS Restaurant Association. “This role will give me the opportunity to shape the industry and educate industry professionals into providing a better product.”
