Hello board members, the next Hot Sauce Festival meeting will take place this Wednesday, January 20 at 2:30 at Burgundy Basin.
Many of you expressed an interest in helping out and wanted notes from last week's meeting.
Here are the basics:
Roc Hot Sauce Festival
Date: Thursday March 3, 2016
Time: 6pm to start
Cost: for member restaurant to participate: $25 registration fee for non member restaurant : $50 reg fee.
(This will give the committee some working capital)
Ticket cost: $20 pp in advance by calling office number of email $25.pp at the door. Each will include one or two free drink tickets Krista is working up a letter to restaurants that will be mailed to members. It explains the competition and what is required. Each restaurant will have a table and will supply about 3 gallons of sauce, ready to serve and a person to pass it out. Chapter will supply 1/2 ounce cups for serving samples and all the food.
Prizes (plaques)for best product will include:

Professional which will include 2:
There will be a panel of judges as well a voting by customers.
The chapter will supply sample cups, paper goods, meat, mac salad, baked beans, desserts.
Burgundy Basin will supply a coffee station.
Krista has a letter for purveyors who will be asked to donate items listed above.
BOCES students will be assigned one to each table for sampling and others to help serve food items.
Board members will be asked to supply items for gift baskets which will be raffled off.
No sponsorships are being asked for this event.
Mike it thinking stations would be a good way to do the service. He will also talk to the health dept.
Service will be the "build a plate" type and customers will make a plate and select hot sauce of choice.
Committee is looking for someone for music. Otherwise Mike can get a DJ.
That about covers it. Some of these items may still be discussed at the meeting on Wednesday. I'm sure I forgot something.
