Scott A. Sinder is a partner of the Washington, DC-based law firm Steptoe & Johnson, LLP and he is the chair of the firm's Government Affairs & Public Policy Practice Group. Mr. Sinder also serves as the outside General Counsel for the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers and for the CRE Finance Council. Mr. Sinder is both a litigator and a legislative advocate, who actively represents trade associations and companies on a wide range of issues in state and federal trial and appellate courts, in state legislatures and Congress, and before regulatory agencies. He has also led over 100 seminars and webinars targeted at employers grappling with the intricacies of new laws, and has been counseling clients on compliance and avoidance strategies.

 

Robert N. Munao is Executive Vice President & Director of Alliant Benefits Northeast. He has been in the Employee Benefits business for over 30 years. During the past 11 years, Mr. Munao has directed the growth of T&H Benefits, which was acquired by Alliant, the second largest privately held broker in the United States, with over 1800 employees nationally. He created Alliant Outsourcing Solutions to assist clients with the ever changing and complex benefits administration that has come into play over the last few years due to Obama Care. Prior to joining Alliant, Mr. Munao was the National Benefits Practice leader for a major national broker, Hub International. Alliant was purchased by the largest private equity company in the U.S. called KKR. During the 1980’s Bob worked for a Paris based international benefits consulting firm and directed their United States operations for European firms that were operating here in the states. Mr. Munao sits on various insurance company advisory boards and is the chairman of the largest U.S. based trade organization called the Council of Agents and Brokers.
