Opportunity for NYS Restaurant Association Restaurants
to Save Some Green by Going Green

Free Green Training

The New York State Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NYSRAEF), through an EPA grant, is funding the Green Hospitality Initiative, which is offering Association members free green training. The training covers practical and cost efficient ways to save on energy and water usage and cut back on hazardous chemicals while increasing a restaurant's bottom line. The training will include:

  • Practical applications of green strategies for your food operation that will result in a more profitable bottom line.

  • Opportunity to sign up for free energy, water, and hazardous waste audits customized for your establishment and scheduled at your convenience and providing profitable green recommendations.

  • How to market your green efforts in the competitive restaurant marketplace.

  • Extensive green resource guide & one-to-one support from the Green Hospitality Initiative team.

For operators unable to attend our group trainings, we also offer free individual on site trainings at your convenience at your restaurant. The training takes about 25 minutes.

Savvy and responsible operators are realizing that greening their restaurants can be a triple win opportunity: Customers and staff are positively impacted by your efforts, your bottom line is increased and the environment is helped.
